John Wills has been working as a professional musician, arranger, engineer and producer for nearly 30 years and in this time has toured in the UK, Europe and America extensively promoting record releases. He has recorded six sessions for John Peel at Radio 1 and two for Janice Long at Radio 2 and BBC Radio 3s 'Mixing It' commissioned John & Pinkie Maclure to perform at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2001 for a 45 minute live broadcast. As a result, their album 'From Memorial Crossing' was voted into the top 20 by BBC listeners polls for both Mixing It and Late Junction at the end of the year.

 

He is a founder member of art-rock band, 'Loop' and curated the ‘All Tomorrow’s Parties’ Music Festival in 2013.

 

in 2014 wrote and arranged the music and produced the films for "Song Noir' which he performed in 2014 and 2015 at the Edinburgh fringe with his band Pumajaw. Song Noir which was voted as one of the top 50 must see shows by The Scotsman. It was funded by Creative Scotland, Made in Scotland and developed in collaboration with Summerhall Arts Edinburgh.

 

1987 - 1990 Founder member of Loop releasing three albums and four singles for Beggars Banquet.

 

1991 - 1994 Founder member of The Hair & Skin Trading Company releasing three albums for Beggars Banquet.

 

2001 - now Founder member of Pumajaw releasing seven albums for various record companies.
